Estel Conference is the first international IEEE-AESS conference in Europe dedicated to telecommunications via satellite for “Advanced Services and Applications, Architectures, Technologies and Terminals”. The European Space Agency (ESA) is Europe’s gateway to space. The European Satellite Operators’ Association (ESOA) was formed in March 2002 to represent the interests of the industry with key European organisations, including the European Commission, Parliament, Council and the European Space Agency as well as other international organisations. ESOA’s goals include ensuring that satellites benefit from the appropriate political, industrial and regulatory environment to fulfil their vital role in the delivery of communications. ESOA is governed by a Board of Directors, made up of the CEO’s of its 10 Member Companies telecommunications).

The Best Student Paper Award announced. One Best Student Paper Award will be selected. Only Papers based on the independent research of the graduate student presenting the work are eligible for theBest Student Paper Award. The Award is assigned on the basis of the quality of the written Abstract and the oral or poste presentation. The Award will include a merit certificate and a check for 500 US Dollars. To be considered for the Award, the Abstract must be identified as a student’s Paper at the time of Abstract submission.
