ALMASat-1 is sending data to earth
Together with the successful maiden qualification flight of Vega European launcher, Italy is celebrating another success: Almasat-1 the small satellite designed and built by University of Bologna and launched by Vega is now fully operating. ortora, PhD
Associate Professor PhD Paolo Tortora, University of Bologna, project coordinator and responsible, is really enthralled and excited during his flight back from Kourou, where he attended the launch.
“Today has been a memorable day not only for the program VEGA, where italian aerospace industries played a primary role, but also for the University of Bologna” – says Tortora to Estel Newsletter. “The flight and the launch have been perfect, any parameters stuck to its nominal values, until the payloads ejection, after about 4200 seconds from lift-off. ALMASat-1 ground control segment is receving telemetry data, sent to Forlì via radio” – continues Tortora – “ and any mission parameter is among its nominal values”.
